DESIGNER: Hartley, New Zealand BUILDER: Wojcik

CONSTRUCTION: Ferro-cement hull deck and forward cuddy (a cut-out sample is available); the pilot-house portion of the deckhouse is epoxy over plywood construction. The builder used WEST SYSTEM epoxy products exclusively for fairing and barrier-coating. The hull deck and deck-house are epoxy coated and faired inside and out and they are also insulated. The hull is a full-keel configuration with a fully-supported rudder. There is hydraulic wheel steering at two stations: pilot-house & cockpit (pilot-house bulkhead, starboard side). There is a forward hatch and a number of Stainless Steel framed Lexan ports.

ACCOMMODATIONS: The yacht has 6'1” headroom and she sleeps 5. There is a vee-berth stateroom forward, with enclosed head aft to starboard. The main cabin has settees port and starboard that make berths. The engine is amidships and the plan calls for an engine-box with drop-leaves to make a dining table (not included). The pilot-house has a fore & aft galley to port and the helm forward to starboard. There is a quarter-berth aft to starboard. There is an aft cockpit with curved seating and a lazarette for storage.

The head bulkheads are roughed-in as is the vanity. The sink and Jabsco marine toilet are included but are not plumbed. The galley is substantially complete. A sink and stove still need to be fitted. A small 12 volt electric refrigerator is installed as is a water tank. Both the galley and head-vanity counters require Formica-type covering.

The interior has a vinyl head-liner; teak & holly cabin sole in the pilot-house; oak 'wanes-coat' bulkheads and furnishings.

ENGINE: Mercedes Benz diesel inboard engine (automobile conversion); propeller, shaft, shaft-log are all fitted; 2 stainless steel fuel tanks are fitted. The engine is sitting on its' beds but it still needs to be connected to the shaft, fuel tank & exhaust.

SAILS & RIGGING: The late owner selected the sloop rig option on the plans and obtained a used 40' aluminum mast, aluminum boom and 4 used (but serviceable) sails for the boat that fit the spars. There is no standing or running rigging; chain-plates are not fitted. The mast is to be keel-stepped.

GENERAL: Magellan GPS; Fire Extinguisher; Compass; full set of plans.

BROKER'S COMMENT: This is an estate sale which provides a unique opportunity. Most of the gear needed to complete the boat is included and it is mostly labour that is now needed. The late owner/builder was a most capable craftsman and his care and attention to detail in the construction of this boat are obvious when one is aboard. The yacht and its' equipment are offered at a small fraction of their replacement cost.

The Buyer will be responsible for launching the boat from the boat-house in which it sits. Please note that launching and moving the boat, on her own bottom, to a near-by marina would be required for truck-transport.

The asking price was determined, and is felt to be realistic, due to the location of the boat, additional expenses expected for its' completion and the buyer commitment needed to pursue the opportunity.
