BUILDER & DESIGNER: Bateaux De Mer Ltee

CONSTRUCTION: White fiberglass, commercial specification, hull; gray fiberglass decks; white fiberglass over plywood deckhouse, open aft; black bottom paint; long skeg type keel with 2 bronze 'paddle' type rudders; antenna mast; black composite rub-rail at the gunwhale and port and starboard aft, close to the water; anchor and rode box on bow; large cockpit with solid stainless steel tube life-lines from forward of amidships aft to the stern and across the transom; boarding gates port and starboard and aft amidships; hydraulic steering.

ACCOMMODATIONS: the vessel sleeps two in the forward cuddy; enclosed head with marine overboard discharge marine toilet; compact galley with diesel- fired heating/cooking stove with 2 gal. day tank; stainless steel sink w/ fresh water supply.

The main cabin has the helm position forward to port and bench seating port & starboard. There is 'bus' type heater for this area that runs off of the port engine; roomy open cockpit aft with bench seating.

ENGINES & ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS: Twin 1989 ford 'Mermaid' 200 hp diesel inboard engines injectors rebuilt in 06; fresh water cooling (heat exchangers); cruising speed about 13 kts., top speed about 18 kts.; 100 gallon fuel capacity in a stainless steel tank; 3 bladed (24”X26”) fixed propellers rebuilt in 07; 1 3/8” stainless steel shafts; sea-water intake filters; oil/water/temperature alarms; hour meters; one recently rebuilt starter; both engines have alternators that have recently been replaced; the alternators supply two lead-acid 12 volt batteries new in 07; selector switches; circuit breaker panel; cabin, navigation, anchor remote spot light and courtesy lights.

ELECTRONICS & NAVIGATION: recent Sitex 16 mile RADAR; Simrad RD68 VHF; Ray Jefferson colour Depth Sounder; Garmin GPS; Sitex plotter with all Bay of Fundy charts; Box compass.

GENERAL: 2 Danforth type anchors with chain leaders & rodes; electric anchor windless; Docklines; fenders; 22 life jackets; 20 man LIFE RAFT; 3 fire extinguishers; 2 fire buckets; 1” fire/wash-down pump driven off of the port engine via an electric clutch; flares; radar reflector; 3 life rings; bell; boat hook; horn; short-haul trailer/cradle.

The vessel has been used for dive charters and commercial whale watching. It currently has Canadian Coast Guard 'Home Trade IV' certification for carrying 18 passengers + 2 crew.
