BUILDER: Victoria Marine Ltd. Southampton, UK, DESIGNER: C.W. Paine

CONSTRUCTION: White fiberglass hull with dark green shear strake & boottop; red bottom paint; 9,100# displacement; 4,400# lead ballast; full keel with encapsulated ballast and fully supported rudder; decks are fiberglass with solid teak overlay; bow & stern pulpits with double lifelines (replaced 2000); 2 Lewmar hatchs; 7 bronze opening ports; dodger; tiller steering.

The owner reports that all deck fittings were removed and re-bedded in 2000; the bottom was stripped of bottom paint and it was barrier coated with Interprotect; all the through hull fittings were replaced with Blake fittings, all in 2000.

ACCOMMODATIONS: The yacht sleeps 5 and has 6'1” headroom. Vee berth forward with drawers under; head aft to starboard with sink outboard and hanging locker opposite to port; privacy doors for both the vee berth & the head; the head as a Lavac electric marine toilet with holding tank and 'Y' valve (all new 2000); the main cabin has settee berths port and starboard with various cabinets behind the settee to starboard; there is a fold-up bulkhead mounted table to starboard. The galley is aft with a 2 burner LPG stove with oven (surveyor approved tank storage in lazarette); ice box; stainless steel sink with cutting board cover and counter and locker space. Both sinks are supplied by a 22 gallon water tank via hand-pumps. A navigation station is to starboard with chart table plus chart & instrument storage ahead of a quarter berth.

The interior is nicely finished with teak veneers and solid teak trim; teak & holly sole; beige fabric upholstery (new 2001).

ENGINE: 1985 Yanmar 2 QM, 13 hp marine diesel; fresh water cooling (heat exchanger); 15 gallon fuel tank; fume detector; propeller, shaft & cutless bearing replaced in 2005.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: the yacht has a 12 volt system supplied by a Balmar heavy-duty marine alternator with 'smart' regulator (new 2000); Heart automatic battery charger; 2 lead-acid batteries; selector switch & fuse panel. The yacht has a full compliment of cabin, navigation & anchor mast-head lights.

SAILS: 2001 Mainsail & 135% genoa by Quantum. The mainsail is a 'Pentax tri-radial' that has full battens; jiffy reefing.

RIGGING: Aluminum mast & boom; stainless steel standing rigging; Furlex #207- 13 roller furling (new 2001); Lewmar winches: #40 Self-Tailing primaries (2 speed); 3 - #8 halyard winches.

ELECTRONICS: Bulkhead mounted compass; VHF (2004); Leica GPS & plotter (2001); Brooks & Gatehouse network instruments (new 2000): speedometer, depth sounder.; JRC #1500 RADAR (2001); Yacht Specialties antenna mast (for radar and other antennae) (2001); Autopilot.

GENERAL: 35# CQR anchor with chain leader & rode; ARIES WIND VANE STEERING GEAR (not fitted); Fitted winter cover & frame (2004); 2 manual bilge pumps; yard trailer; 3 dock lines; 3 fenders; boat hook; fire extinguisher; life ring; man-overboard pole; search light; flares; horn; swim ladder; clock & barometer; engine & equipment manuals.

BROKER'S COMMENT: This is a very high quality & well-found Payne design built in the UK. It is the same hull design as the Morris Yachts built 'Leigh'. It is rare in this market that one finds a vessel of this caliber that has been so generously up-graded. We highly recommend her.
